Can I take courses if I'm not a Social Worker?
Yes, our courses are available to anyone interested in learning about the mental health profession. However only Social Workers licensed by NY State can receive Continuing Education credits at this time.
What is "Self-Study"?
Self-study courses mean that you are learning on your own time, either by watching recorded lectures, completing readings and exercises, or a combination of both. If you are receiving CE hours for your profession, there is usually a cap for the number of credit hours that can be from self-study courses.
Will I receive a certificate?
Certificates of Completion are available to LMSWs and LCSWs licensed in NY. Empathic Learning Group is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0811.
What is the refund policy?
Self-study courses that have been accessed are non-refundable. Courses that have not been accessed may be refunded within 7 days of purchase. Live courses may be cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Contact support@empathiclearninggroup.com to request a refund.
